Our goal for all work entrusted to our company, regardless of type and dollar value of the job, is to provide product and service that exceeds our final price.

Our Work

We work with urban residential, acreage and farm owners and commercial projects. Often we are called on by people with very specific needs and challenges requiring quality rock and gravel products. Other clients rely on us to completely to create concepts from scratch to finish. We provide solutions to base work, yard and road rebuilds and environmental issues.

Washed Rock

Washed rock is a category of gravel that comes in many shapes and sizes, and is ideal for both functional and decorative projects. Generally ranging in size from a half inch to eight inches in size, washed rock can be crushed or rounded and is most commonly used in the following ways:

Driveway Topping

Crushed rock or rounded stones are a great option for driveway topping. They’re affordable, easy to maintain, provide great drainage, and you can create unique colors and designs with different types of rock.

Culvert Rock & Drainage Rock

A culvert is a transverse and fully enclosed drainage structure that runs under a road or portion of land. The type of washed rock that is used in their construction generally vary in size from 2-6 inches or 4-8 inches.

Other drainage projects may require larger stones, or boulders. Contact us for more information, or to get a free estimate for your drainage project.

Radon Rock

Radon is a naturally occurring gas that is generated in the ground as a result of the decay of uranium. Buildings are generally lower pressure than the outdoors, so radon from the ground can be drawn into them through any opening in the foundation.

When constructing a new home, many builders choose to install a layer of rock below the foundation. This layer of clean rock allows the radon to move freely underneath the house, which builders sometimes call the “air flow layer” or “gas permeable layer”.

Questions? Give us a call! We are Camrose & Area’s first choice for rock & gravel products. We can answer your questions and help you determine how to best meet your project needs.

Our company history, dating back almost two decades, began with sourcing and supplying basic rock and gravel products from our pit near Ferintosh, AB, to a small number of rural clients around Central Alberta. We have now grew to a big source of driveway toppings for farms, pit runs for construction projects, and landscaping rocks for residential projects. These are a few of the main products and services we built our foundation on.

Battle River Rock & Gravel’s reputation for work ethic, fair pricing and on-time delivery meant our client base grew rapidly. So did demand for expanding our product line.
